The ITP Spring Show 2009 was a great success. Givkwik (micro-donations on the go) was very well received, and we got some leads for people interested in partnering with us and hearing more about the project. ODI et AMO also did very well. It seems like kids in particular really like the bright flashing colors of the videos and the cuteness of the characters themselves. The kiddies also dug the business cards I made (below).

I am thinking that I should spin the characters out some more, and give them bodies, and put them on a whole range of merchandise, Sanrio-style. Some British guy told me that it would be illegal to broadcast in the UK because it would cause epileptic seizures.  He also said he was too hungover to watch the whole video. 😉
After we cleaned up at ITP, we headed over to the After Party at Santos, which featured music and visuals by ITP students. Below: LS, Matt Parker, and Asli Sevinc.

ODI et AMO made another appearance in the party video projection:

And the nuit blanche concluded with the sun coming up and some greasy noodles with Kristin and Sonaar at Wo Hop in Chinatown.

Also be sure to check out ITP graduate Jonathan Swerdloff’s Floor Four Productions, a platform for students at ITP to extend their projects beyond the classroom. Full disclosure: HEPNOVA Multimedia designed the logo.
I’m off to Washington DC tomorrow with Catherine for the Free Press Summit: Changing Media, and then to San Francisco on Friday to visit Kris and to finalize my housing arrangements for my summer internship at Creative Commons.
Congratulations to the graduating ITP 2nd years! And to my class for making it halfway through.
