My name is Lee-Sean and I am a designer and musican based out of New York City. I do design and strategy at Purpose, and I am a co-founder and producer at Hepnova Multimedia, a genre-defying music collective, multimedia production company, think tank, and modern lifestyle brand. I will be teaching in the MFA Design for Social Innovation program at SVA starting Fall 2012. I’m also dean of the Awesome Foundation NYC.
I was born in Taiwan and raised in Arizona. I graduated with a BA in Government from Harvard University in 2003. While in college, I studied abroad in Barcelona, Paris and Lund (Sweden).
After college, I lived in Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture, Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher on the JET Programme from 2003-2006. I also moonlighted as a book reviewer for japanvisitor.com. I currently serve as the webmaster for JETAANY.org, (JET Alumni Association of New York). I am also a contributor to jetwit.com, a site for the JET alumni freelance and professional community.
After moving to New York in 2006, worked at Avaaz.org and Human Rights Watch. Then I got my masters from the NYU Tisch Interactive Telecommunications Program (class of 2010).
