Celebrity sighting!
I saw Elijah Wood of Lord of the Rings fame on Sunday night while I was grocery shopping at the Gourmet Garage in SoHo. He was shopping for meat and salad dressings with his girlfriend, Pamela Racine.

No way yo… my Kyoto Sensei’s Frodo. Or at least that’s what I told my former JTE one night after consuming an entire bottle of shochu and deciding I had to bike to school Right That Minute to speak to him about how things were really going at work (no more tatemae shit for me…).
Tee hee… Tash had a laugh over that, but oddly enough my JTE didn’t find it funny. Then again, he’s the one who got all hepped up over a note which said Ebisu Katsura (katsura means ‘hairpiece’, as I was so enlightened). *sigh* Why do Japanese people have such a wonky sense of humor…?
